COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT - Event 19 December

For those people planning on joining us at our OUTDOOR Singalong Christmas Carol event on Sunday 19 December we feel it is important to let you know that we take our COVID-19 responsibilities extremely seriously. We will be protecting people from the risk of COVID 19 transmission as much as possible and below is a summary of the preventative and protective measures we have taken, together with key points about the running of our event to give you reassurance that we have made it as safe as possible.

* Firstly, the GOOD NEWS! Importantly, our event is OUTDOORS, which significantly REDUCES transmission risk, whilst at the same time allowing you to enjoy a wonderful family Christmas activity with Sam at its heart. Remember indoor Christmas events are far more high risk!

* If anyone is showing ANY coronavirus symptoms, then we ask that you follow Government guidance and stay away from the event.

* If you wish to wear a face covering outside you have our full support but this is not a requirement. However, a face covering is required if you visit our refreshment stall inside the pavilion, or you use the toilet facilities (unless you are exempt).

* We have a large outside space for the concert which will allow people to spread out, and control how close they wish to be to other people, further reducing the risk of possible transmission.

* The only activity taking place inside will be the selling of hot and cold drinks in the Pavilion. We have delicious warming hot chocolate in our cute christmas cups, and if you fancy a cup of tea we have good old Yorkshire teabags, we have not compromised on the quality of our tea, we know how important that is!

* We have implemented the following to keep you safe inside the Pavilion.

- Three refreshments points to reduce queues inside.

- A one-way system to aid social distancing and transmission risk.

- Good airflow as all doors and windows will be propped open.

- Minimal contact points, as no doors will need to be touched to enter and exit.

- Hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout and we encourage you to use these at every opportunity, but particularly before/after you touch anything.

- Entry to the pavilion will be controlled to keep you safe and minimise the number of people inside at any given time.

- Face coverings will be required to be worn, unless you are exempt.

- Our cake stall has been moved from inside the pavilion to outside to aid social distancing and allow people to take their time and browse our delicious cakes!

- Frequent cleaning regimes will be in place to prevent the spread of infection

* Toilets are available inside the pavilion and we ask you clean your hands rigorously after using the facilities, and use hand sanitiser when you leave the building.

* Hand sanitiser will be available on our craft and cake stalls, and we actively encourage you to use it before and after touching anything.

* The NHS COVID-19 app QR code poster will be displayed so people can scan and ‘check in’ to the event.

We do hope that this will help reassure people who are planning on joining us on the 19th, or who are perhaps undecided about whether to join us. We are making our event as safe as possible, whilst also trying to create an enjoyable family Christmas event to enable us to remember Sam. We think if you are going to attend a Christmas event, then this one should be high on your list for all the reasons above!

Any questions, please do get in touch.

With much love
